Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery Programme (GNM)

3 Years Duration
Pass in 10 + 2 / Equivalent in any discipline with 45% in subjects. (Preferably Science)

Examination

Students will appear for the theory and practical examination conducted by the board at the end of each year. Selection examination is conducted two months before the common Board Examinations and those students who do not fare well in the internal examination will not be permitted to take the Board Examination. The minimum marks required for passing any examination is 50 in each subject. No candidates are allowed to sit for the examination if his/her attendance is less than 75%. The percentage of classes and clinical attendance, general conduct of students and the performance in the clinical area are all taken into consideration.

Preliminary Training Period

The first three months of training is called preliminary training period; there will be an examination and the successful candidates will receive their uniform and continue their studies. After completing preliminary training period, and oath taking ceremony follows for each batch of Nursing students. The failed candidates are given a second chance, and even during their second chance, if they are found unfit, they will not be allowed to continue their studies further. They will also not be eligible for refund of any fees paid to the institution on their admission.
